Bokmål

Bokmål is one of the two official written standards for the Norwegian language, the other being Nynorsk.

Bokmål literally means “book language” in Norwegian. It is the most widely used written form of Norwegian and is based on the traditional written Danish language, which was used in Norway during the centuries of union with Denmark (1380-1814).
