Bengali Language
The Bengali language, also known as Bangla, is an Indo-Aryan language spoken primarily in the South Asia region.
It is the official language of Bangladesh and is one of the 22 scheduled languages of India, predominantly spoken in the state of West Bengal and the union territory of Tripura.
With over 230 million speakers, Bengali ranks among the most spoken languages in the world.
The script used for writing Bengali is an abugida, where each character represents a consonant with default vowel sounds that can be changed with diacritics.
